CM inaugurates Saurashtra Rachnatmak Samiti, Rajkot run ‘Khadi Sarita’ store

Khadi for next Generation, Khadi for our Generation: Vijay Rupani

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today inaugurated the renovated building of Saurashtra Rachnatmak Samiti, Rajkot run ‘Khadi Sarita’ store at Ahmedabad. Khadi is not just a fabric by an idea. Khadi has become the medium of employment generation for lakh’s of families, he added.

Giving the mantra of ‘Khadi for next Generation, Khadi for our Generation’ Mr. Rupani said that, the nation is going to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October this year at that moment khadi and Gandhi cannot be separated. Even today Gandhiji’s thoughts, ideas and values are present and relevant due to which Gandhiji is still alive today.

Remarking the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Mr. Rupani said that Gandhi, Lohia and Deendayal have the thoughts of capitalism and Imperialism, today the world is on the path of Gandhiji of unity, humanism and socialism.

Mr. Rupani expressed that before the forthcoming Gandhi Jayanti, the State Government will encouraging scheme for khadi weavers and buyers.

Committee Chairman Mr. Devendrabhai Desai in his welcome speech explained the role of khadi in poor, rural families for employment. Mr. Desai also urged all to buy Khadi and expand its use. Vice President of Saurashtra Rachnatmak Samiti Mr. Himmatbhai Cheda welcomed all.

On the occasion Cottage Industry Minister Mr. Jayeshbhai Radadiya, Gujarat Khadi Board Chairman Mr. KushalSingh Pandheria, District Panchayat chairman, As well as the Saurashtra Rachnatmak Samiti’s officials and khadi and Gandhi lovers at large were remained present.

Mr. Rupani reviewed the various products of Khadi by visiting the entire premises of Khadi Sarita.
