Gujarat’s important step towards doubling the income of farmers through the use of modern technology: Shri Bhupendra Patel

Gandhinagar, Friday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated spraying of nano urea in the field through drone technology for the first time in the world from Isanpur Mota village of Gandhinagar district in Gujarat. Chief Minister kick-started this historic initiative of the state government by filling the drone with nano urea and operating the drone. On this occasion he said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is constantly striving to double the income of farmers.While efforts are being made to reduce costs and increase productivity, we have taken an important step in that direction through the use of modern technology in Gujarat.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel while inaugurating the state awarded scheme of spraying nano urea in the field through drone technology said, When the entire country is celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Currently no one needs to sacrifice their life for the country but instead everyone needs to live a life in a manner which would increase the pride of the country. To live in such a way that natural resources are preserved and enriched. The use of nano urea will save money spent for foreign exchange on importing chemical fertilizers and would also bring down the subsidy costs. Not only this, the spraying of nano urea by drone will also save water.By taking care of such small things we can serve the country in a big way.
Speaking about how under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi India is progressing and Gujarat has become a ‘growth engine’ he said that during pandemic, when even big countries left their people to their own situation, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi stood with the people of nation and carried forward the mantra of ‘Sauno Saath Sauno Vikas,’ Sauno Prayas Sauno Vishwas. Not only that, But a historic feat was achieved by providing free vaccine. Free ration was also provided to the needy persons keeping in view the business-employment difficulties. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made efforts to ensure that no one finds himself in any sort of trouble or dififculty in such difficult times. He congratulated the farmers for spraying Nano Urea in the fields of Gujarat through drone technology for the first time in the world as well as in the country. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel appealed to all those present to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign from August 13th to 15th and hoist the national flag at their home office or place of business.
IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited) Chairman Shri Dileep Sanghani expressed his happiness about the spraying of nano urea by drone has been started for the first time in the world. He further said that,The Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi has dreamed of prosperity, security and economic upliftment of the farmers. To make it successful, the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Bhupendra Patel, is pushing forward with determination.
IFFCO is the first in the world to research Nano Urea, he added. The Prime Minister of the country requested to reduce the consumption of urea for the protection of air and earth and for the safety of the health of all citizens. The researchers of IFFCO have developed Nano Urea by conducting innovative experiments.
He said that IFFCO is dedicated to realize the motto of ‘Sahakar thi Samruddhi’ farmers organization, IFFCO has given 20 percent dividend. Apart from that many farmers organizations like GUJCOMASOL are giving good dividends to the farmers. Farmers will be able to do the work of nano urea quickly through drones.With this technology farmers have put a step forward in the direction of a new revolution in agriculture.
Director of Agriculture Shri S.J. Solanki welcomed the dignitaries and said,For the use of advanced drone technology in the agriculture sector, the state government has made a provision of Rs. 35 crore in the budget. A list of the names of the farmers will be prepared by the concerned District Agriculture Officer by creating a cluster of villages.An evaluation report will be prepared by IFFCO by spraying Nano Urea in their fields through drones.35 drones have been brought to the state by IFFCO organization to carry out this work smoothly.Field staff have also been trained.
He further said that through i-Khedut portal system Rs. 23 crore will be spent. Nano urea will be sprayed in 92 thousand acres. Individual farmers have to apply online on this portal.
A demonstration of nano urea spraying was observed by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel from Shri Mahesh R. Patel’s farm. He also obtained information about this entire operation.
On this occasion Gandhinagar District Panchayat President Shri Dilip Patel, MLA Shri Shambhuji Thakor, District BJP President Shri Anil Patel, District Collector Shri Kuldeep Arya, District Development Officer Shri Surabhi Gautam ,along with the farmers of the village were present in large numbers.
