The CM stated that sports instil qualities such as patience, agility, concentration, and cleanliness, while also fostering physical and mental development. Under the slogan "Ramshe Gujarat, Jitshe Gujarat," both young and old have enthusiastically embraced the sport. The Prime Minister's initiation of Khel Mahakumbh in 2010 has elevated Gujarat's global stature. Kensville stands as a testament to the sports culture and ecosystem fostered by the Prime Minister's visionary approach, the CM further noted.

Emphasizing that Gujarat is now recognized for sports as much as for business, the Chief Minister highlighted the state's growing proficiency in building sports facilities, and infrastructure and hosting sporting events. A prime demonstration of this competence is showcased in the hosting of the golf tournament at Kensville.

The Chief Minister highlighted that in the last two decades, the number of sports centres at the district level in Gujarat has increased eightfold. Currently, the state has 24 state-of-the-art sports complexes, including a multi-utility sports centre covering 22 acres in Naranpura, the expansive Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave spanning 233 acres, and the world's largest Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. Government initiatives have ensured that development reaches the farthest corners of the nation. The Prime Minister has termed the Gram Panchayat as the grassroots pillar of good governance. An exemplary display of community engagement is seen in Sarpanch Samvaad (Sarpanch organizes dialogues). The Chief Minister suggests that through collaboration with rural communities and local governing bodies, sports can catalyze community empowerment, sanitation, education, entrepreneurship, and holistic development.

Following the celebration of the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of transitioning from the "Amrit Kaal" to "Kartavya Kaal" (period of duty and responsibility).

Significantly, the GFI TOUR 2024 will be held in over twenty-five cities, aiming to bridge the gap between rural areas and golf by enhancing services such as education and healthcare.
