CM interacts through “SWAGAT Online” a public grievance redressal program in Gandhinagar

Resolves a total of 1180 issues from State-District-Taluka-Rural level

CM directs District level officers for fair and timely redressal of grievances of common man


Gandhinagar, Thursday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel today interacted with the applicants in a state level “SWAGAT” (State Wide Attention on Grievances through Application of Technology) a public grievance redressal program held at SWAGAT chamber of public relations in Gandhinagar. He interacts with applicants directly on the fourth Thursday of every month through SWAGAT.

Mr. Patel directed the district officials to ensure fair and timely redressal of grievances. About 9 grievances were made to the Chief Minister. Apart from this, 223 were grievances were received from district level, 76 from village level 1150 from taluka level SWAGAT program. A total of 1458 grievances were received. Out of which 1180 were properly resolved.

State Wide Attention on Grievances through Application of Technology (SWAGAT) was started by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in 2003 during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister. In this regards Mr. Patel said that it is important that such SWAGAT program- online grievance redressal program which was started for the fair and timely resolution of the issues of common man shall now be organised on regular basis as the transition of CORONA has eased.

Guiding the officials of the district administration who joined through video conferencing Mr. Patel said that, we must develop such system of redressal at local level in village, taluka and district level so the citizen’s do not need to raise any grievance at State SWAGAT.

Detailing on the grievances forwarded online to the heads of the concerned departments CM said that, Nodal officers must accurately arrange for the timely settlement of such issues and to put such details online for efficiency and transparency.

Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. K. Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Pankaj Joshi as well as senior officials of the Chief Minister’s Office and senior secretaries of state government departments joined this first Rajya SWAGAT program held after Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel took the oath of office.
