    Gandhinagar, Tuesday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel informed that late actors Mahesh-Naresh, a popular duo of Gujarati film music world, would be posthumously awarded the Padma Shri by the President on November 9.

    Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26 has announced for the Padma Shri Award (Posthumous).

    On the first death anniversary of late Naresh Kanodia and his brother late Mahesh Kanodia, a musical program “Mahesh-Naresh Smritina Satvare” was organized in Ahmedabad to pay tribute to both. CM joined in the memorial program organized to pay tribute to the duo. He also sent condolences to the Kanodia family, saying that the loss of the Kanodia brothers would be felt by all.

    Chief Minister also refreshed the memories of his study-college days with the song-music journey of late Mahesh-Naresh.

    Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly Nimaben Acharya, Education Minister Shri Jitubhai Vaghani, Ahmedabad Mayor Mr. Kiritbhai Parmar, Labor and Employment Minister Mr. Brijesh Merja, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mr. Pradeepbhai Parmar, MP Mr. Kiritbhai Solanki, Jignesh Kaviraj, Parthiv Gohil and other dignitaries and fans of late Mahesh-Naresh kanodia were present.
