CM inaugurates the ‘Gujarat Drone Mahotsav’ at GMDC ground, Ahmedabad

    Gandhinagar, Friday:  Gujarat Drone Festival” showcased drone technology and its use by companies, students and entrepreneurs.

    Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel today inaugurated the ‘Gujarat Drone Mahotsav’ at GMDC ground. In his address CM said that in the future, drone technology will be widely used in many fields. He said it would play a key role in agriculture, defence and health. Underlining the growing importance of drones in the present era, the Chief Minister said that today the use of drones is increasing in important fields like defence, environment, agriculture and health and the Gujarat Drone Festival has been organized to accelerate the efforts being made in this direction.

    Chief Minister witnessed a demonstration on drone technology and its use during the Gujarat Drone Mahotsav held at GMDC.

    Apart from the Government of Gujarat, various drone companies of the state, the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the Government of India, Drone Federation of India, Gujarat University and IDSR participated in this Drone Mahotsav. In which university professors, students, entrepreneurs, farmers, researchers, administrators and representatives of institutions participated.

    Modern drone technology and its uses were demonstrated by various companies, entrepreneurs and students. Significantly, the use of drones by government departments, defence, and military agencies has been on the rise in recent years. Moreover, its importance is increasing day by day in the fields like agriculture, forest, health, fire brigade and health.

    The Drone Mahotsav was organized to create awareness among drone users in the country – farmers, students, government and private organizations. The upcoming Vibrant Gujarat and Defence Expo events will also get a boost through this program.

    It is worth to mention here that Mr. Pradeep Patel (CEO, Prime UAV) was appointed as the Program Director for the organization of this Mahotsav by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Central Government. Dholera Industrial City Development Limited, Adani Defense and Aerospace were the main sponsors, while Blu-ray Aviation was the co-sponsor.

    The event was attended by Mr. Amber Dubey, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Mr. RK Dhir, Air Marshal and officials from security agencies. Mehsana district police chief Parthraj Singh Gohil also gave a presentation on how drones are used by security agencies.
