    Gandhinagar, 1st July 2023: Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched Millet Pizza as part of the International Year of Millets Program Program in Ahmedabad. A variety of Raggi pizzas made with a millet base were introduced in his esteemed presence. In furtherance, Hon’ble CM virtually inaugurated the Food Processing Unit of Jubilant FoodWorks based in Sanand.

    He announced the successful launch of pizzas made from Shree Anna, which will serve as a catalyst for raising awareness and promoting a healthier lifestyle among the people.

    He further expressed that our lifestyle has undergone significant change in the last few years. In today’s time, regular health checkups after 40 years have become necessary due to the altered diet and cuisine. Currently, dishes like pizza and burgers have gained immense popularity among children and youth. Hence, he commended the initiative to change the base of pizzas into a healthier choice.

    Hon’ble CM stated, “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inspires us on how to consistently progress amidst the changing lifestyle. Chemical fertilizers have had an adverse impact on both soil and human health. He has provided a solution to this problem by encouraging natural farming. By embracing cow-based natural farming, we can enhance the soil quality and create a better future.”

    In this regard, he expressed his admiration for the efforts of Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji in raising awareness about natural farming. Furthermore, while highlighting the initiatives undertaken by the Gujarat government, the Chief Minister emphasized that events such as the Millet Expo, Millet Festival, workshops, farmer training programs, seed distribution, and dissemination of informational booklets have significantly contributed to the enhancement of public awareness regarding natural farming and millets.

    Referring to India’s achievements in the world, the Chief Minister stated, “India is currently experiencing growth in every sector due to the visionary leadership of Shri Narendra Modi. In a time when many countries are facing economic challenges, India has emerged as the fifth-largest economy. The country has reaped significant benefits from the back-to-basics, back-to-nature cycle initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister.”

    Acknowledging the completion of nine years by the central government, he highlighted that this period represents a culmination of dedicated service, good governance, and enhanced welfare measures.

    He added that in April 2023, a record GST collection of 1.87 lakh crores was achieved in the country. The increase in tax revenue is a positive indicator of the economy and employment. He further said that the sustained growth of the Indian economy amidst numerous global challenges is attributed to the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi.

    Mr. Avinash Kant Kumar, President of Jubilant FoodWorks, while delivering the welcome address on this occasion, expressed his gratitude for bringing Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel’s idea of Millet Based Pizza to life. He shared that no onion-garlic varieties would be launched soon.

    Mr. Kumar assured that the company’s efforts will be directed towards providing employment, and quality food to the citizens. Additionally, he reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting government initiatives like Millet Year.
