Gandhinagar, Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has clearly stated that With strong infrastructure construction, Gujarat is moving at a swift pace to follow the method of sustainable development developed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi In this context he said, The state government has opted to move along the path of judicial infrastructure development.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel laid the foundation stone of the new District Court building to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 136 crore in Gandhinagar. This new Court building will be equipped with advanced facilities having 7 floors including two basement parking.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel also virtually laid the foundation stone of Judicial Residential Buildings at Law Garden, Dhulia Kot in Ahmedabad. Minister of Law and Justice Shri Rushikesh Patel, Judge of the Supreme Court Shri M.R. Shah, Shri Bela Trivedi, Acting Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Shri A.J. Desai, Advocate General Shri Kamal Trivedi along with District Court Judges, and prominent advocates witnessed the occasion.
Chief Minister added that, The synergy of the three organs – the judiciary, the legislature and the bureaucracy – keeps democracy vibrant and flourishing. Judiciary has a prominent position and importance. Then it is our mission to equip the judiciary with necessary infrastructure.
NITI Aayog has also appreciated the prospect of financial management carried out by the state government in the budget after the pandemic. Chief Minister added.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel also said that, This year, the government has made a provision for the largest budget in the history of the state of Rs 3 lakh crore and has also included infrastructure development in the five pillars of development. Moreover a provision of Rs 2014 crore has been made for the Law and Justice Department.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel also added that the state government will deliver necessary cooperation and participation to ensure that everyone gets quick justice in a democratic system and so that the faith of people in judiciary is retained.
Stressing on the fact that Judiciary is the main pillar of democracy Law and Justice Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel said that It is the determination of the Prime Minister of our nation to build a simple, well-equipped and hassle-free system for the people of India. Thus Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel is moving on the same path to encapsulate the same.
He added that government is determined to provide a decent platform for the Judges and their support staff working in the Judiciary to work well and to provide their families with futuristic facilities. In this prospect a substantial amount of Rs. 2000 crores has been allocated for the same in current year’s budget. In the coming five years, the Taluka, District Courts will be equipped with advanced facilities and equipments necessary for technology so that the applicants and lawyers can also benefit form it.

Judge of the Supreme Court of India Shri M.R. Shah said that, The Gujarat government has provided the best modern infrastructure for the judiciary throughout the country.
He further said that Recently, a team of High Court officials from Uttar Pradesh visited Gujarat to study the infrastructure of courts. Impressed by the modern facilities provided by the Gujarat government, they presented this report to the Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh. Having inspired by the government of Gujarat they too decided to provide the best possible infrastructure facilities in 10 district courts. In the initial phase. When the state government provides us excellent facility, it becomes our duty to provide justice in a easy and quick way. Judge Shri Shah thanked the Chief Minister and the Law and Justice Minister for providing the best infrastructure for the judiciary in Gujarat.
On this occasion Judge of the Supreme Court of India Shri Bela Trivedi said that Judiciary has a very prominent place in the foundation of democracy.While the Gujarat government has always been equipped to provide all infrastructure facilities to the judiciary, All we need to do is the work of adding justice and divinity to the glory of this temple of justice. On this occasion, she also recalled his experiences when she was deputed as Law Secretary of the Gujarat State Government in the year 2004.
Congratulating everyone Acting Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Shri A.J. Desai said that With the construction of this new building of the modern district court in the heart of Gandhinagar city, there will be more flexibility for all. All the facilities be accessible on all the eight floors.
Also ADR Center will also be started in this newly constructed Court. Judge Shri Desai requested the lawyers to take maximum advantage of it. He said, The construction of more than 200 residential houses at Law Garden in the middle of Ahmedabad city will provide very good and safe accommodation for the staff including Judges.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Shri J.R. Shah in his welcome address thanked the state government and the Gujarat High Court for this new building. While giving information about this building he said, a total of 28 courts will be constructed in this eight-storey modern building at a cost of Rs.136 crore at Sector-11 in Ram Katha Ground on 19,375 sq. m in Gandhinagar.
Facilities including two-storey basement parking, conference room, modern library, judge’s chamber etc will be made available.
