CM Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani highlights distinctive features of ‘VGGIS – 2019’ to industries captains and business tycoons of world

    Highlighting the distinct features of ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit – 2019’ before the leading captains and tycoons of the trades and industries of the world in New Delhi, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically stated that through the Vibrant Summit, Gujarat with the theme of “Shaping A New India” would not only lay foundation for the “New India”, but, would also take a frontal position in building “New India.”

    In this reference, Mr. Rupani further stated that Gujarat has taken a step ahead from previous class of “Ease of Doing Business” to “Feel of Doing Business.” The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit – 2019” would be held in Gujarat between January 18 and 20. It is the 9th edition of vibrant series. From the last 8th edition of the vibrant series held two years ago in 2017, Gujarat has taken leading position at the national as well as world levels.

    The Chief Minister said that Gujarat wants to be a leader in building the New India and the growth of Gujarat would be showed to the world during this summit through “Gujarat’s sprint to 2022.”

    Through success of projects like ‘GIFT City’, RO-RO (Roll On, Roll Off) Ferry Services, Dholera S.I.R. and others, Gujarat has sent a message to the world that any state could become a world class, he further added.

    The Chief Minister further stated that we have adopted technologies and concepts that have attracted everyone. With its all-round development, Gujarat has become an inspirational role-model for other states of the country. The state has become the best destination for the investment.

    Chief Principal Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, welcoming the leading trade and business captains, disclosed that Gujarat has received as many as 347 investment proposals in the first 9-months of the current year, which is the highest in the entire country. Thus, it is proven that the state is the front runner in economic development as well as in industrial and social sectors.

    To promote retail and handicrafts sector and to provide global market to it, a fortnight “Shopping Festival” would be held during the summit, Mr. Singh said and added that for the first time, ‘Conclave of Global Chamber of Commerce’ would also be held in the summit.

    Others who spoke included Mr. Ramesh Abhishek, secretary, department of industrial promotion, Government of India, and Industry Secretary and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Manoj Kumar Das, and others.

    On the occasion, the Chief Minister had also launch a Mobile App ‘VGGIS 2019’.  A MoU was also signed between Apparel Export Promotion Council and Gujarat Government.

    The occasion was also graced by Chief Principal Secretary Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance Department) Mr. Arvind Agrawal, and Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue Department) Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Industries Commissioner Mrs. Mamta Verma, and senior secretaries of Gujarat Government and others.
