CM orders disciplinary action against govt and police officials; 3430 transferred & 34 suspended

Firming its commitment to transparency in governance, state government under CM Mr. Vijay Rupani issued orders to suspend 20 employees of Revenue and Panchayat for tardiness and also issued instructions for strict disciplinary actions against 743 Deputy Mamlatdars, 987 Revenue and Panchayat Talatis and 36 Chitnis-Deputy Chitnis in 33 districts of state. Also mass transfers orders of 765 employees in this cadre have been issued by the respective district administrative officials.

It may be mentioned that after taking over the charge as Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani clarified in the first meeting with top officers and district collectors and top police officials that his government is committed to welfare of people welfare on four main pillars- Transparency, Decisiveness, Sensitivity and Progressiveness.

State government also issued strict instructions for realizing corruption free and transparent governance. Common men should not be forced to offer bribe or money anywhere. Under this campaign, actions have been taken against 3464 employees showing tardiness and irregularities in work in all 33 districts.

To maintain the clean image of Police, State Government has also initiated punishable procedures against police employees. As many as 14 employees of state police force have been suspended, disciplinary action has been ordered against 23 Assistant Sub Inspector, 151 Head Constables and 725 employees have been transferred.
