    Gandhinagar, Thursday: The oath-taking ceremony of the new President of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce was held in the inspiring presence of Hon’ble CM Shri Bhupendra Patel. Addressing the ceremony, the CM said, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi thinks of solutions before problems arise.” He said, “Gujarat has benefitted the most from his visionary leadership, a recent example of which is the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s visit to the United States. In the past, several Prime Ministers have tried to bring American Semiconductor manufacturing companies to India, but only Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi succeeded.”

    Under the chairmanship of Hon’ble CM Shri Bhupendra Patel, an oath-taking ceremony for office bearers of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce was organized in Ahmedabad. Hon’ble CM Shri Bhupendra Patel unveiled the new logo of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). Established in 1949, this institution has completed 73 years.

    During the event, CM Shri Bhupendra Patel added, “Today, Gujarat has made significant progress in all sectors. The state has made an outstanding contribution to various Central Government initiatives like Make in India and Startup India.”

    Talking about the GST collection of ₹ 1.87 lakh crore in April 2023, he added, “Such a large tax collection is a positive sign for businesses, employment and the economy as a whole.” “Today, Gujarat has quality infrastructure including roads and 24-hour power supply. These facilities were built during the tenure of Shri Narendra Modi and are being effectively maintained by the state government today”, said the CM.

    The Chief Minister said, “It is the responsibility of the state government to provide a favourable environment for business and employment. Our government is committed to that.”

    Shri Pathik Patwari, who served as President of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce for 4 years, thanked the Hon’ble CM and said, “I got continuous guidance from the Hon’ble Chief Minister in many policy matters. In addition, we have given importance to the business and industry of Gujarat by giving suggestions in matters like the budget.” He also thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

    Shri Ajay Patel, the succeeding President, said, “Under the guidance of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce will aim to maximize the role of industries in Gujarat for India’s development. We will encourage startups and also try to give students a practical knowledge of the market.”

    Shri Bhramvihariji Swami of BAPS said, “ The GCCI has created a positive atmosphere in the state. The first Hindu temple is being constructed in UAE owing to the establishment of the foundation of Sadbhavana in 2013.”

    Shri Pankaj Patel, Chairman of Zydus Cadila Group said, “The Chamber has to function by not only thinking of just the members but the whole society. He appealed to the members of GCCI to create a resolution and implement the same.”

    Shri Amitbhai Thaker, MLA; Shri Amulbhai Bhatt; Former Minister Shri Kaushikbhai Patel; Shri Hiteshbhai Barot Chairman of Standing Committee of AMC and invited dignitaries were present during the event.
