Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana benefits will now be given to even the Gaushalas and Panjrapols who do not have their own land

Gandhinagar, Thursday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has taken another noble approach to provide benefits of Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana to the charitable organizations that look after the cows. The State Government has provided financial assistance for the nutrition, maintenance and shelter of the cattle and announced Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana with a provision of
Rs 500 crore. Under this scheme, assistance of Rs 30 will be given for each animal kept in Gaushala- Panjrapol.
Various Panjrapols and Gaushalas, which are registered under the Public Trust Act but do not have their own land, made representations to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Raghavji Patel to avail the benefits of this scheme.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has given a sensitive response to the sentiments of such institutions, gaushala-panjalapols and gaubhakts.
The Chief Minister has taken such a noble decision that now, the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana will be given to those institutions, cowsheds who do not have their own land.
Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Raghavji Patel has given more details in this regard and said that as a result of this sensitive and generous approach of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel towards the animals, now more than 1200 Gaushalas- Panjrapols of the state will get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana.
About five lakh cattle from more than 1600 organizations across the entire state will benefit from this Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana due to the sensitive decision of Shri Bhupendra Patel towards animals.
Also, the taluka level committee will verify the number of animals eligible for assistance of such organizations every three months and submit the details to the district level committee. Based on that, the District Collector will send the order for detailed assistance to the Gujarat Gauseva and Gauchar Vikas Board.
Accordingly, the amount of such assistance by Gujarat Gauseva and Gauchar Vikas Board will be directly deposited by DBT in the bank account of that beneficiary organization.
