    Gandhinagar, Saturday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has taken a generous approach to increase the sale of Khadi in the state by deciding to provide economic support to the rural artisans of the hinterland areas involved in Khadi weaving of Khadi production.

    Chief Minister has decided to provide 30 percent special market encouragement assistance on the production cost of Khadi and Poly garments from Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd October 2022 to 31st December 2022. Chief Minister has announced to give 10% more special market encouragement assistance this year as the nation is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav under the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

    Currently, this 20% special market encouragement assistance provided by the state government for the period between 2nd October to December 31, 2022, in addition to it the 10% assistance which in total  makes upto 30% special market encouragement assistance to be provided in Gujarat this year.

    With this special market encouragement assistance Gujarat has responded to the call made by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi made in the recent ‘Khadi Utsav’ in Ahmedabad to  buy more Khadi during festivals, social events and thereby   promoting widely ‘’Khadi for Fashion-Khadi for Nation’’.

    As a result of this 30 percent special market encouragement assistance announced by the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the sale of Khadi and various items of Poly garments will shoot up because of which the lives of Khadi artisans will brighten up during this festival of Diwali.
