Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today attended an event to hand over appointment letters to newly recruited Talatis of Revenue Department at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. CM Mr. Vijay Rupani congratulated new Talatis and asked them to work selflessly for the welfare of the people. He also asked the new recruits to ensure that poor get benefits of all governmentt schemes.
“A gram panchayat is the cornerstone of a local self-govt organisation wher the Panchayat Secretary (Talati) occupies a pivotal position. Feel happy to distribute appointment letters to 2343 Talatis. I want to give special congratulations to all 845 newly appointed female Talatis. It is heartening to see women recruited in such large number. With fresh recruitment, 3587 posts of Talatis have been filled out of 4100. Each Talati will now look after 5 villages,” said CM Mr. Vijay Rupani.
“Talatis represents government at village level, hence a huge responsibility. According to me, Talati is Collector of village,” added CM Vijay Rupani.
