CM Vijay Rupani meets Australian High Commissioner
Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani on Friday morning met Ms. Harinder Sidhu, Australian High Commissioner in India in Gandhinagar.
CM Mr. Vijay Rupani and Ms. Sidhu had fruitful discussions regarding cooperation in sectors such as education and skill development and scope of expertise.
Australia is partner country in Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2017. Australia was also partner in Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015 and took part with 450 delegations.
During the meeting, it was also discussed on how TAFE model of skill development of Australia can be implemented in India. Australia & Gujarat had signed an MoU in development of sports. Both CM & Sidhu decided to take it forward. Emphasis was laid on sharing best practices in water mgmt. Australia also supports Automotive Centre of Excellence in Gujarat.
Discussions were also held for tie ups in sectors such as renewable energy, mining, education, sports and sports technology, agro-processing and tourism.
