Gujarat Chief Minister Mr.Vijaybhai Rupani and his ministerial colleagues, including deputy chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel and speaker Rajendra Trivedi, will mark the World Women’s Day, to be celebrated world-wide on March, by welcoming the baby-girls taking birth at various hospitals in Gandhinagar and other places of the state.
The Chief Minister will welcome the arrival of little angels under the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhavo” (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) campaign. The little angels, who is taking birth on March 8, will be welcomed by offering of a silver coin each (Weighing five gms).
The Chief Minister will welcome the little angels at the civil hospital in Ahmedabad. He will distribute a ‘Mamta kit’ (consisting of a silver coin, a rose-flower, a sweet box, a dress, cap, socks, soap etc) to each of newly born baby-girls on March 8.
