Gandhinagar, Thursday: Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, during his visit to Kutch district on ‘Kisan Sanman Divas’, visited ‘Smriti Van’ at Bhujia Hill in Bhuj and inspected various development works carried out in ‘Smriti Van’ and the facilities for the visitors.
This memorial is being constructed with the inspiration of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in memory of the victims of the earthquake of 2001 in Kutch.
In coordination of Gujarat State Disaster Management, various facilities are to be set up in 470 acres of ‘Smriti Van’.
Of these facilities, CM inspected various facilities set up in 175 acres. In ‘Smriti Van’, urban forest is also being developed using Miyawaki method, in which three lakh trees have been planted. CM also planted trees on this occasion. An auditorium with a seating capacity of 235 has been constructed in the museum complex. Here, the Chief Minister watched a film based on ‘Smriti Van’.
Prior to his visit to ‘Smriti Van’, CM conducted a comprehensive review of tourism and development projects of Kutch district at Bhuj Collector Office, in which he got acquainted with the information of the developmental project of ‘Smriti Van’ and gave guidance regarding visitor-oriented facilities.
During the visit of CM, Kutch MP Mr. Vinod Chavda, Disaster Management Officers, Collector Smt. Praveena D.K. and other officers were present.
