CM’s Directs Prompt Resolution of Complaints through SWAGAT with Sensitivity for the Citizens

Gandhinagar, Thrusday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel attended the State SWAGAT, an initiative by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which aims to utilize technology for the resolution of public grievances. He emphasized the utmost importance of addressing the grievances and representations of the common man with a sensitive approach.

The Chief Minister expressed his firm belief that individuals presenting their complaints should not be burdened with the necessity of visiting Gandhinagar. Instead, he emphasized the need for their problems to be efficiently resolved at the district level, thereby ensuring convenience and expediency for the citizens of Gujarat.

9 Probationary IAS Officers assigned to Gujarat attended Chief Minister’s Rajya SWAGAT program and embarked on the first field training through CM’s technology-based Public Grievance Redressal program.

Chief Minister received twelve applications from people representing various districts. With a particular focus on matters concerning small and micro-entrepreneurs, irrigation cooperatives, and illegal pressures, the Chief Minister imparted explicit directives to promptly address these issues.

He further instructed to ensure the expeditious completion of a preliminary survey aimed at assessing the extent of damage inflicted upon the districts affected by Cyclone Biparjoy, including the coastal areas of the state. In addition, he engaged in fruitful discussions with the District Collectors to facilitate advanced planning in anticipation of the forthcoming rains and monsoon conditions.

During the month of June, a total of 6,441 applications were received from district, taluka, and village SWAGAT, alongside twelve applications submitted through the Rajya SWAGAT. 5,526 of these applications were successfully resolved by the diligent efforts of the respective system operators.

Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri K. Kailashnathan and senior secretaries of the concerned departments attended the state-level SWAGAT program.
