Shows interest in strengthening Israel-Gujarat relations with Co-operation – Co-ordination – Mutual Partnership
India’s relation with Israel has strengthened during the tenure of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi
Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Consul General of Israel to Mumbai Mr. Kobbi Shoshani paid courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel here in Gandhinagar today.
The Consul General of Israel praised the excellence achieved through mutual cooperation in the fields of Center of Excellence, Drone Technology, Cyber Issues, Desalination Plant and Water Management through the use of Israeli technology and Indian youths.
Explaining that Israel is a world leader especially in water management and cyber security, Mr. Kobbi Shoshani showed interst to strengthen Israel- Gujarat relations with Co-operation, Co-Ordination and Mutual Partnership.
Mr. Kobbi Shoshani also lauded and appreciated the efforts made by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in delivering vaccines to countries around the world during the COVID pandemic.
Mr. Patel expressed his hope that this first visit would give a new direction to the bilateral relations. He said that India’s relation with Israel has strengthened during the tenure of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
CM also expressed readiness to get benefit from Israel’s expertise in water management and cyber security. He also thanked for contribution of Israel in i-Create Centre of Excellence, Research and Center of Excellence for Vegetables and Kharek-Khajur as well as for the benefits of the Israeli pattern of desalination plants.
In his conversation CM added that Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has shown the world how development can be achieved by keeping everyone together with the mantra of “Sauno Sath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishvas”.
CM urged the Israeli Consul General to visit world’s tallest statue of Sardar Saheb, Statue of Unity and invited to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Summit 2022. He recalled the visit of Israeli delegations to the previous Vibrant Summit as well as the successful visit of former Prime Minister Netanyahu to Gujarat.
Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Pankaj Joshi also joined the meeting.
CM presented a replica of the Statue of Unity to the Israeli Consul General as a memento.
