    Chief Minister’s Special Gift to Aravalli District:-

    • Shamlaji has been declared as a holy pilgrimage – A light and sound ‘show’ will be started in the Shamlaji temple in the coming days
    • 75 crore scheme to supply water through lift irrigation from Meshwo Dam for irrigation facility in Bhiloda and Meghraj talukas approved – 31 lakes of Bhiloda, Meghraj two taluks will be filled with this lift irrigation scheme.
    • A special grant of five crore rupees for the development of the district

     

    Gandhinagar, Sunday: The Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat honoured the dignitaries of the district in a cultural program ‘Monghi Mirat Modasa’ held on the eve of Independence Day at Modasa in Aravalli district. Governor said that only the best future generation can build the best nation. He requested everyone to be determined to make the children well – cultured, healthy and strong as well as knowledgeable.

    By saying ‘Hridaya nahi, vah pathar hai jisme Swadesh ka bhaav nahi’ Governor recapitulated the contribution of Aravalli district in the freedom struggle and paid tribute to the martyrs on the eve of the 76th Independence  day festival.

    He also wished all the citizens of the district on the tenth year of establishment of Aravalli district. The Governor termed this Parva as a festival to express gratitude towards the martyrs.

    While the state level celebration of Independence Day is being held in Aravalli district, a cultural program highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of Aravalli was held on the eve of independence at Modasa, the district headquarters.Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel was present in this program.

    Aravalli district is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi this year. To make this Independence Day a festival of development, for Vanbandhu’s the Chief Minister today made some important announcements in the form of gifts which includes According to it, Shamlaji has been declared as a holy place of pilgrimage.A light and sound ‘show’ will be started in Shamlaji temple in the coming days. 75 crore scheme has been approved to supply water through lift irrigation from Meshwo Dam for irrigation facility in Bhiloda and Meghraj talukas.With this lift irrigation scheme, 31 lakes of Bhiloda, Meghraj Bay taluka will be filled.The Chief Minister also announced a special grant of five crore rupees for the development of the district.

    The Chief Minister while conveying wishes of Independence Day said, that With the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated across the country.Even today we are reminded of that atmosphere of patriotism.

    Referring to the contribution of Aravalli district in getting freedom, the Chief Minister said, Patriots like Mathurdas Gandhi, Natwarlal Gandhi, Chunilal Bhai, Mohanlal Gandhi, Surjibhai Solanki, Purushottamdas Shah of this district sacrificed their lives for independence. He paid tribute to such patriotic sons of this district. The Chief Minister also praised the contribution of Manibehan, the symbol of women’s power of this district, in Dandi Yatra and Salt Satyagraha, which shook the foundations of the British government.

    Referring to the fact that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had called for Har Ghar Tiranga in memory of such heroic patriots who sacrificed everything for the freedom of the country, the Chief Minister said that we are determined to hoist the tricolour on 1 crore houses in the state from 13th to 15th August.He appreciated the contribution of Aravalli district in this determination.

    The Chief Minister said, The then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi FORMED this district on 15th August 2013 with the name of holistic development of the state and it is a matter of pride that Aravalli district has entered the 10th year of its establishment after taking a substantial step on the path of development on this Independence Day of Azadi Amrit Mahotsav. The entire Gujarat including the Aravalli district has been benefiting from the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai for the past two decades. Not only this, the double benefit of the double engine government has made Gujarat a role model for development.

    We have to make Gujarat a benchmark for development in the world by following the same path of development politics that the Prime Minister has initiated. He added that our government is dedicated with the mantra of development of each and every people  of the society, the poor, the deprived, the afflicted.

    Referring to the development in every sector of the state, the Chief Minister said, Along with basic infrastructure like agriculture and animal husbandry, Gujarat has also made global progress in water, health, education, industry and service sectors. Two decades ago, only 26 percent of households in the state had tap water. As a result of the Jal Jeevan Mission started by  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today 97 percent of the households get tap water.We have built more than one and a half lakh check dams in the last two decades.The Prime Minister has given the benefit of agricultural irrigation to three and a half lakh farmers.On the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Prime Minister Shri Narendra  Modi has called for the construction of 75 Amrit Sarovar in every district.The Chief Minister expressed confidence that 663 such lakes have been completed in Gujarat as a result of which the beauty of the villages will increase along with water storage.

    The Chief Minister said that with the inspiration of the Prime Minister, we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. This festival means a determination to build a new India, a self-reliant India, a progressive India. Calling upon everyone to work together with dedication for the nation to realize these resolutions, he said, This 76th Independence Day has brought new enthusiasm, new consciousness, new energy in realizing this resolution, making Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and building a self-reliant India from self-reliant Gujarat.

    On this occasion, ‘Aravalli ni Asmita Vikas Vatika’ and ‘Aapnu Aneru Aravalli Pustak’ were released by the Governor and the Chief Minister. Apart from this, as many as 17 excellences and institutions of Aravalli district who have contributed in various fields were honoured.

    On this occasion, Minister-in-charge Shri Kuber Dindor, , MLAs, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar, State Police Chief Shri Ashish Bhatia, Aravalli District Collector Dr. Narendra Kumar Meena, state government officials, members of Aravalli Municipality, freedom fighters and prominent citizens of the district were present.
