Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia inJyotiraditya ScindiaUnion Minister augurated the commercial air service between Keshod and Mumbai from Keshod Airport today. The two dignitariesAirport also inaugurated state-of-the-art air services at Keshod Airport.

The development of transport, especially air transport, is important to achieve the vision of a self-reliant India from a self-reliant Gujarat. Gujarat’s tourism development is also in its root. Extensive air connectivity is being established in Gujarat under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi for the achievement of this resolution. The Chief Minister said that under the vision of the Prime Minister, projects for equitable use of natural resources and solar energy to counteract the effects of global warming are proving useful to us in today’s situation and the nation is moving forward under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister said that with the launch of air service in Keshod, tourism as well as industrial development will get a boost. He further said that connectivity of air services is very important in the resolution of self-reliant Gujarat to self-reliant India. We are getting the full support of the Central Government and we want to take Gujarat to greater heights of development with the development of all and with the confidence of all.

The Chief Minister thanked the Central Government, especially the Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, for expediting the flight service at Keshod Airport.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that he is the son-in-law of Gujarat, Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, air services are being started under ‘Ude Deshka Aam Aadmi’ targeting the common man. Speaking on the occasion of inauguration of modernization of Keshod Airport, he further said that services at Keshod Airport have been closed sincess many years. It has been rebuilt at a cost of Rs 25 crore under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Union Minister said that today Keshod is connected with nation’s cultural, industrial capital with air connectivity. After Keshod-Mumbai, Keshod will also be connected to Ahmedabad in the near future. Giving 6 aircraft services to Gujarat, he informed about the ongoing air projects in Gujarat and in the country under the self-reliant India under the leadership of the Prime Minister and said that Gujarat will get two new Green Field Airports at Hirasar and Dholera. Flight from Ahmedabad to Amritsar, Agra, Ranchi has been started to facilitate more transportation in Gujarat. In addition, the flight from Porbandar to Delhi will start from April 27. Thus, every area of ​​Gujarat will be connected with the economic capital of the country. At the end, he recalled the relationship of his ancestors with Somnath and the history of Mahatma Gandhi-Keshod and said that the Central Government, especially the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is committed to the advanced development of Gujarat.

On this occasion, a boarding pass were handed over to the Chief Minister and the Union Minister regarding the newly started service. In The initial phase air service between Mumbai and Keshod will be operational three days a weeks.

CM and Union Minister of Civil Aviation were welcomed and honoured with turban (Paghdi). Apart from this Keshod’s institutes and Brahmakumari institutes welcomed them.

On this occasion, Minister for Roads and Buildings Shri Purneshbhai Modi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, infrastructural facilities are increasing in the country. The scope of services is increasing so that even ordinary citizens can avail flight services. A pilot school is also planned in Amreli. Aircraft will also be built there. The government is also planning to build helipads in all the talukas. Heliports will be constructed at seven places including Ahmedabad, Saputara, Somnath, Dwarka, Junagadh. Cargo transport service will be started for air transportation of industrial area of Ankleshwar, Amreli and Mandvi.

In the coming months, technical study is being done for the plane from Sabarmati to Statue of Unity and in the second phase from Ahmedabad to places including Ambaji, Saputara, Shetrunjya, Ukai.

Secretary to Ministry of Civil Aviation Shri Rajiv Bansal delivered his welcome address and gave information about the aviation services while Joint Secretary Usha Padhi delivered vote of thanks.
