Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade of New South Wales and Minister of Tourism and Sports and Minister of Western Sydney Mr. Stuart Ayres along with his delegation paid courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
The CM expressed his gladness during the visit and said that as a result of the sister state agreement between Gujarat and New South Wales in 2018, the bridge of cooperation between the two regions has become stronger and wider.
In this context Chief Minister also said that that the participation of New South Wales can add new dimensions to Gujarat’s leadership in the fields of education, tourism and non-conventional energy.
Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a new direction of development keeping with the global trends with the commitment of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India) the idea of Make in India, Make for the World given by Prime Minister is an approach to go beyond with the participation of all, added CM.
The CM added that Gujarat and New South Wales, taking forward this idea, can move forward as sister states in areas where a stronger bridge needs to be established.
Responding to this, Mr. Stuart Ayres added that a business delegation from his nation would visit India and Gujarat every year and further promote mutual business and commercial relations. He also extended a heartfelt invitation to the Chief Minister to visit Sydney.
Mr. Stuart Ayres said that the Australia delegation had participated in the previous series of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and now they are eager to participate in the next summit to be held in the post-Covid-19 scenario. Not only that, Mr. Stuart Ayres and his delegation were also impressed by the investment and business opportunities in Gujarat.
The CM extended a warm invitation to the Australian delegation to visit the Statue of Unity and presented a replica of the Statue of Unity to the delegation as a souvenir.
Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Shri Raj kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Pankaj Joshi and Industries Commissioner Shri Rahul Gupta joined on the occasion.
