Nuclear Science and Technology Gallery to set up in Science City
With the construction of this gallery at the cost of Rs 10 crore visitors will be able to witness a unique educational experience related to nuclear energy

Gandhinagar, Monday: Nuclear Science and Technology Gallery to be constructed at Science City in Ahmedabad which will further attract visitors to come and witness one more attraction out of many that are setup.
An MoU was signed between Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and Gujarat Council of Science City to establish a Gallery at Science City in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel at Gandhinagar. Chief Secretary Shri Rajkumar and Additional Chief Secretary to CM Shri Pankaj Joshi also joined the occasion.
The Nuclear Science and Technology Gallery will be set up at Science City’s Planet Earth Pavilion with a financial assistance of Rs.10 crore. Its construction work is estimated to be completed in the next 12 months.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel was briefed about this new gallery during the process of MoU signing by the Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and Chairman of AEC Shri K.N. Vyas and state government’s Science and Technology Secretary Shri Vijay Nehra. The Nuclear Science and Technology Gallery will feature various exhibitions related to the nuclear and atomic energy sector.
Not only this, the gallery will also showcase India’s Autonomous journey of nuclear and atomic energy. It will also showcase the transformative journey from small beginnings to becoming a world player in the field.
Science City will conduct various workshops and programs to create awareness among the society about atomic and nuclear energy and its peaceful uses and applications. For this purpose Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) will provide technical assistance, conceptual design for exhibitions, training of science teachers and support for gallery development. Also the performance of various parameters related to nuclear and atomic energy will be observed.
This unique collaboration between Science City and DAE will also encourage more enthusiasm among the youth in the field of nuclear and atomic energy and interest in nuclear science technology.
On the occasion Director of IPR Dr. Shashank Chaturvedi, Dr. A.V. Ravikumar and the Executive Director of Science City Shri. Jitendra Vadar and General Manager Shri. Dr. Vrajesh Parikh were present.
