CM gives principle approval to various development works worth Rs.607 crore under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana in 3 metro cities of Surat, Rajkot & Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, Monday: With the commitment of holistic development of all the areas of the state including urban areas, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel has given the principle approval for 124 development works worth Rs.607 crore under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana in 3 metro cities of Surat, Rajkot & Gandhinagar.
The Chief Minister has given the approval for various 109 development works worth Rs.581.40 crore in Surat city.
The Chief Minister has given principle approval to allot Rs.407.43 crore for 60 works of drainage, storm water, water supply and CC Roads and Rs.149.64 crore for 42 works of social infrastructure development including library, fire safety system installation, ward office, civic centre, community hall, health centre multi-level parking, public health laboratory etc.
Mr. Patel has also given principle approval to allot Rs.20 crore for 6 works of fly overs, bus shelters, corridor development in Surat city and given approval for construction of a swimming pool as well.
The Chief Minister has given principle approval to allot Rs.10.45 crore for 5 works of roads, Rs.10.14 crore for 6 works of water supply and Rs.20 lakhs for the work of Aanganwadi in the outgrowth areas of the Rajkot city. Thus, the Chief Minister has decided to allot a total of Rs.20.79 crore for Rajkot.
Besides, the Chief Minister has given principle approval to allot Rs.5 crore for 3 works of Shaheri Sadak Yojana in the Capital city of the state Gandhinagar.
Thus, the works of constructing asphalt roads, new roads and resurfacing of existing asphalt roads in the areas of metro cities including Zundal, Bhat, Koteshwar, Kba, Vasna Hadmatiya, Sargasan and Randheja will be conducted under 4 T.P. Schemes.
This approach of the Chief Minister to give quick in-principle approval to the proposals of various towns-metropolises related to various development works has given a new direction in the works of urban welfare.
