    @ Chief Minister invites Egypt for Vibrant Summit-2024

    Gandhinagar, Monday: A delegation led by Finance Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohammad Maait paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar.

    The 3rd meeting of the Finance Ministers and Governors of Central Banks of G-20 countries is being held in Gujarat under India’s G-20 Presidency owing to the efforts of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Finance Minister of Egypt is on a visit to Gujarat to participate in this meeting, during which he met Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.

    The CM held discussions and consultations on making the centuries-old trade-commerce relations between India, Gujarat and Egypt more comprehensive and in line with the present times. He said that Egypt and India possess the heritage of the two oldest human civilizations in history.

    “The recent visit of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi to Egypt has become historic and is paving the way for significant growth in trade and investment,” Shri Bhupendra Patel said during the meeting.

    The Chief Minister expressed pride that Prime Minister Shri Modi was honored with Egypt’s prestigious honor, the Order of the Nile.

    He said that GIFT City, the Prime Minister’s dream project, is the world’s gateway to India for the global financial and technology sector.

    The Chief Minister invited Egyptian financial institutions, fintech companies, and tech startups to invest in GIFT City. Gujarat and Egypt can partner for investments in sectors such as renewable energy, tourism & IT. The Indian community in Egypt is associated with various businesses while many students from African countries, including Egypt, are in Gujarat for higher studies.

    The CM invited the Finance Minister to the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024. Dr.Maait responded positively and expressed his eagerness to join the summit.

    He also recalled that the President of Egypt was the Chief Guest during India’s Republic Day celebrations earlier this year.

    Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, ACS of Industries Shri S.J. Haider, Principal Secretary Smt. Mona Khandhar and other officials were present during the meeting.
