Extends invitation to CM to visit Georgia

Gandhinagar, Friday:  Ambassador of Georgia to India, Mr. Archil Dzuliashvili paid courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel here at the Chief Minister’s office in Gandhinagar today.

The Ambassador of Georgia expressed interest in participating and showed readiness for cooperation with Gujarat, especially in the multi modal transport, ports and pharmaceutical sectors and also refreshed the memory of Georgia-India-Gujarat ancient historical relations.

Mr. Patel welcomed and said that today India under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is moving forward on a fast pace with the mantra of making a self-reliant India. He also assured full cooperation, if Georgian industries- companies wish to start their own units in Gujarat.

Mr. Patel said that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, India has also fulfilled its responsibility to stand by the countries of the world even during the COVID pandemic and mentioned the assistance provided by India to Georgia of antigen test kit, vaccine.

Mr. Patel also welcomed the Georgia delegation to attend and participate in the next Vibrant Summit and detailed on the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, which has become the centre of attraction for tourists from all over the world and requested the Ambassador of Georgia to visit Statue of Unity.

The Ambassador of Georgia, expressed his pleasure to make his visit to Gujarat memorable. He lauded the contribution made by Gujarat as an industrial hub, manufacturing hub in building a new India and sought to take Gujarat-Georgia trade, commerce and industry relations to a higher level and also extended an invitation to CM to visit Georgia.

Chief Principal Secretary to the CM Mr. K. Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industry Dr. Rajiv Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Mr. Pankaj Joshi, Industries Commissioner & Managing Director of iNDEXT- B joined on the occasion.
