Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today received a cheque of Rs. 32-crore as the dividend from the Gujarat Government‘s undertaking Public Sector Unit (PSU), the Gujarat Narmada-valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC) from its managing director Mr. Rajeev Gupta in Gandhinagar. Other dignitary who remained present on the occasion was the GNFC chairman and chief secretary Dr. J. N. Singh.
On the occasion, the GNFC employees had handed over their one-day salary as a donation, amounting to the tune of Rs. 40.51-lakh, to the Chief Minister Relief Fund for rehabilitations of the recent flood victims of Banaskantha – Patan.
In last three years’ the marketing capitalization of this Gujarat Government’s PSU (GNFC) has gone up from Rs. 777-crore to Rs. 6,300-crore.
The GNFC had made special niche for itself with production and sales of ammonia-urea, since its inception in 1982. Now, besides fertilizers, it is venturing out in new spheres such as electronics, IT, Tele-communications too!
Praising the farmers’ oriented best produces of the GNFC, the chief minister expressed his heartiest greetings for its vertical growth. He also lauded the contribution made by the GNFC employees towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund for the rehabilitation of flood affected victims of Banaskanth-Pathan.
