GoG and ‘Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association’ ink MoU in the presence of Guj CM

    IESA will assist the Gujarat State Electronics Mission to develop a vibrant ecosystem for electronics and semiconductors


    Gandhinagar, Saturday: Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat signed an MoU with the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association IESA at Gandhinagar in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.

    The MoU aims to assist leading industry groups participating in Semicon India-2023 to set up their units in Gujarat.

    IESA assured to provide guidance and support to The Gujarat State Electronics Mission in making Gujarat a national hub for electronics manufacturing and design, along with creating a vibrant ecosystem for the semiconductor sector in the state.

    Not only this, IESA will also provide guidance to GSEM for investment promotion and investor outreach.

    On behalf of the State Government Shri Videh Khare, Mission Director of GSEM signed the MoU with President Shri K. Krishna Moorthy of IESA.

    The Chief Minister expects that this MoU will be instrumental in making Gujarat a global player in the semiconductor sector.

    It is worth mentioning here that IESA is working for the growth of semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries in India. IESA is also a partner in organizing important seminars, and conferences pertaining to this sector in India, and it is also one of the country’s leading industry organizations for ESDM and intelligent electronics.

    Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri K. Kailashnathan, Science and Technology Secretary Shri Vijay Nehra along with Vice President Col Anurag Awasthi, Advisor Shri Vivek Tyagi and Executive Committee Member Shri Ashok Mishra of IESA were present during this ceremony.
