Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rupani said that Gujarat is the leading state in the field of petrochemicals and the new projects would add to producing downstream products in the state.

He said that Gujarat is performing a major role in realising the Prime Minister’s resolve for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ by announcing Rs 14,000 crore as ‘Gujarat Atmanirbhar Package”, despite the global pandemic novel coronavirus causing wide dent in the state’s industrial growth as in the rest of the country.

Mr. Rupani said Gujarat received 37 per cent of total countries total FDI during Financial Year 2020-21, ranking No. 1 for the last four years. He said that our focus is not just in big investment bust also small and medium. There are 35 lakh MSME units in the states, being the largest employer.

He said that Gujarat is a leading state in automobile, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, ceramic, maritime and urban development in the entire world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the stone of world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park on 1.80 lakh acre as big as Singapore in Kutch with an installed capacity of 30,000 MW.

While hydrogen has been accepted as clean fuel, hydrogen powered buses will be used first in India in joint effort with GSRTC and IOCL at Kevadia, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Karnavati and Gandhidham. It is No 1 State in investment because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, actively pursued by his successor Mr. Rupani.
