    With the operation of this 2.36-km-long elevated corridor constructed at a cost of Rs. 170 crore will ease traffic woes

    Gandhinagar, Monday:  Union Home and Co-operation Minister Mr. Amit Shah inaugurated the Elevated corridor between Ahmedabad’s Gota flyover and Science City flyover in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel.

    Minister of Road Building Mr. Purnesh Modi, Minister of State Mr. Jagdish Vishwakarma, Mayor Mr. Kirit Parmar, MLAs of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, Former Minister Mr. Pradipsinh Jadeja, MPs, Standing Committee Chairman, State General Secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela, Office bearers as well as leaders and road building secretary as well as department officials along with citizens joined on the occasion.

    With the operation of this 2.36 km long elevated corridor constructed at a cost of Rs. 170 crore, the busiest road junctions of Ahmedabad city will be eased from traffic woes. This elevated corridor constructed on the S. G. highway will directly benefit four important road junctions namely Sola Bhagwat, Kargil Petrol Pump, Janata Nagar and Zydus.

    The 1.48 km long flyover from Thaltej Underpass to Sola Railway Bridge is operational since 27/06/2021, now with the construction of this 2.36 km long elevated corridor from Gota Flyover to Sola Science City Box will result in a 4.18 km long flyover.

    With the functioning of this flyover, the general public coming from other districts of the state to important institutions like Gujarat High Court and Sola-Civil Hospital will get easy and fast transportation from this elevated corridor on National Highway 147.

    It is worth to note here that; the state government is planning to complete the six-laning work on both sides of the 44 km long road of Sarkhej-Gandhinagar-Chiloda National Highway No. 147 at a cost of Rs. 913 crore.

    Out of the 13 flyovers to be constructed, 7 flyovers are functional and 8th flyover is being inaugurated today while the remaining 5 flyovers are under construction.
