Gandhinagar, Saturday: Under the chairmanship of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel certificate and property card distribution program to earthquake affected people of Kutch district was held at Bhuj Town Hall. Certificates and property cards were handed over to 20 beneficiaries.
CM said that today biggest question has been solved so it s a moment of joy for all. The post-earthquake situation was such that whether Kutch would set back or not was a question. However, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a unique love for Kutch. Prime Minister has made Kutch develop rapidly at par with other districts. After the earthquake in Kutch, many business industries have come up due to the efforts of the government. Gujarat government has allocated the largest amount of fund to Kutch for solving various problems including water.
Referring to the recently held SWAGAT online programme, the Chief Minister said, this rogram was started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in year 2003. A program that addresses public grievances and which has solved long pending issues. Thinking of the smallest person and moving forward is the working method of the Prime Minister. Gujarat government team is working on this procedure.
Many people have got their own houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana. There was an earthquake in Kutch and people’s houses collapsed. Ownership of newly constructed houses through rehabilitation is completed today. Today 14 thousand people are getting their house certificate and property card. Referring to the Smritivan Museum built in memory of the earthquake victims, the Chief Minister said that this museum has been prepared very well. Here the relatives of the earthquake victims and people can come and get an idea of the earthquake situation in Kutch. CM hailed the achievement of the people of Kutch and the way Kutch recovered after the earthquake. When the entire country is celebrating “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” let’s take a resolution to develop India and become a partner in the development of Gujarat.
Minister-in-charge Shri. Prafulbhai Pansheriya while addressing the program said that the Chief Minister is taking Gujarat in a new direction. He congratulated the earthquake affected people of Kutch by stating that the Yajna which was lit by the Prime Minister to put Kutch in the world map has been kept unchanged by the Chief Minister.
MP Shri. Vinodbhai Chavda said, the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi took the responsibility to revive Kutch after earthquake and accelerated the development of Kutch by taking many decisions in the interest of Kutch. Which also included accommodation arrangements for the affected. But even though ownership rights were yet to be given, today the Gujarat government adopted sensitivity and gave these rights to the beneficiaries.
On this occasion, Keshubhai Patel, MLA of Bhuj, expressed special thanks to the Chief Minister and the district administration for taking the unresolved issue of Kutch earthquake victims seriously and doing result-oriented work.
Kutch Collector Shri Amit Arora in his welcome address said that According to the special provision made by the Revenue Department, in 2022, a total of 14,000 beneficiaries will be given certificate and property cards.
District Panchayat President Parulben Kara, MLA’s Shri Pradyumansinh Jadeja, Shri Virendrasinh Jadeja, Smt. Maltiben Maheshwari, Shri Trikambhai Changa, Shri Anirudhbhai Dave, Leaders, Kutch Collector, Kutch west Superintendent of Police, District Development Officer and office bearers and officials were present on the occasion.
