Governor and Chief Minister inaugurate Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap on the premises of Raj Bhavan

    May this Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap forever be used for nation-building, public welfare, and the interest of humanity: Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat


    Gandhinagar, 15 August: Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap on the premises of Raj Bhavan today.

    On the evening of the 77th Independence Day, the two dignitaries unveiled a plaque at the beginning of ‘At Home’ Snehmilan program organized at Raj Bhavan and thereafter inaugurated the Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap.

    Earlier this morning, Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji and Lady Governor Smt. Darshana Deviji performed havan at Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap. After the completion of the havan, Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat, while extending his greetings, wished, “May this Maharshi Dayananda Sabhamandap be forever used for nation-building, public welfare, and for the benefit of humanity. He concluded the holy havan with good wishes that may this Sabhamandap remain auspicious for Raj Bhavan as well as for the welfare of Gujarat, forever.

    Maharshi Dayanand Saraswatiji was born in Tankara of Gujarat and has immensely contributed to the development of religion, education, society, and the nation.

    Celebrations are being carried out across the country by the Government of India to mark the 200th birth anniversary of Maharshi Dayanandji. Therefore, this Sabhamandap has been named ‘Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap’ to honour the great leader of Gujarat, Maharshi Dayanandji.

    Lady Governor Smt. Darshana Deviji, Smt. Hetal Bhupendra Patel and Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar also joined on the occasion of the inauguration of Maharshi Dayanand Sabhamandap. Principal Secretary to the Governor Shri Rajesh Manjhu was also present for the occasion.
