Guj CM & Education Min virtually hands over 20 medals and 373 degrees to students

    Gandhinagar, Thursday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel and Education Minister Mr. Jitu Vaghani virtually addressed the 4th Convocation ceremony of Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) Ahmedabad. Degree certificates were handed over to more than 370 students while medals were handed over to 20 expertise students.

    Speaking on the occasion CM said that, with the foresight vision of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, Gujarat has taken the lead in creating a Skilled Youth Culture in line with the timely demands of infrastructure development.

    Foundation stones were laid for Hostel Bhavan, Academic Block and Faculty Housing to be built at a cost of Rs. 147 crore.

    Chairman of the Board of Governance of the University Mr. Sudhir Mehta, professors, graduating students joined on the occasion.

    Encouraging the graduating youths CM said that, through the commitment of Prime Minister to make Gujarat’s youth a global youth we have got the sectoral university. IITRAM is now added with several universities including Rakshasakti University, Railway University, Marine University, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Startup University and Forensic Sciences University.

    Mr. Patel said that 21st Century is the Century of Knowledge and Science and India is gearing up to be at forefront under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Gujarat is committed to be its hub with serving such universities.

    Mr. Patel said that, Mr. Modi with his foresight vision a decade ago laid the foundation stone of IITRAM to prepare the youth contributing in infrastructure development. He said that the Prime Minister has taken initiatives like National Infrastructure Project Pipeline for overall infrastructure development in the country, PM Gatishakti National Master Plan for the infrastructure of multi-model connectivity.

    CM called upon the graduates to decide where they want to see themselves as a youth force in developed India in the 21st century and resolve to work in that direction.

    There are many opportunities and opportunities for this youth in building a self-reliant India and he is confident that with its strength, they would contribute in making “Aatmanirbhar Gujarat to Aatmanirbhar Bharat”.

    Recognizing the demand of the world, we have set up such universities and institutes in Gujarat so that the youth of Gujarat can keep pace with the world, said CM.

    Gujarat has prepared a consistent road map with the goal of Holistic Educational Development in the New Education Policy-NEP. Chief Minister urged the graduating youths to make the state and the nation proud and to keep the spirit of public welfare an integral part of their lives.

    Education Minister Mr. Jitu Vaghani congratulating the youths said that, it has become the need of hour that students contribute in building a prosperous Nation through higher careers. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has set up several national level institutions in the state to provide world class education to the youth of the state. Under which the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) has been set up in collaboration with industry, civic bodies and research institute.

    Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel, research dimensions are also being carried out at the institute along with many new courses.

    State-of-the-art facilities like Gujarat Government’s Center of Excellence, e-Machine Laboratory, Fully Automated Library, Computer Centers with latest computer, state-of-the-art laboratories, Smart Class Rooms and WiFi Campus are available at IITRAM. Not only that, IITRAM has undertaken international collaborations to inspire students to do research as well as for research on various topics.

    Institutions at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia to promote academic excellence, Hiroshima University, Japan, Jacobs University and University of Bremen, Germany, Loughborough University, UK, ICA, Toulouse, France, Swineburn University, Australia, Australia, Curtin University, Curtin University, have cooperated with USA. Similarly, various collaborations have been undertaken at the national level such as IITRAM is active as a remote center at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay’s (IITB) Center for Distance. Through which various engineering education programs are conducted.

    He added that Gujarat government has supported aerospace engineering activities at IITRAM. “Aero-Robotics” program has been started from 2019-20. The program has been designed keeping in view the employment needs of the students and its usefulness. Gujarat Government has started activities in the field of defense technology in IITRAM. Which has been established as “Institute of Defense Studies and Research Foundation (IDSRF). Honors and Minor programs on Defense Technology are being conducted by IDSRF.

    Chairman of IITRAM Mr. Sudhir Mehta in his welcome address gave a detailed presentation on the courses offered by the institute and the activities of the institute.

    Minister of State for Education Mr. Kuber Dindor, Secretary of Education Department Mr. S. J. Haider virtually participated.
