Societies of Kapadvanj-Savli-Devgadh Baria-Chaklasi-Bareja and Chhotaudepur Municipalities will benefit

Gandhinagar, Friday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has given approval for a total of Rs. 9.48 crores under the Golden Jubilee Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme to connect the sewer line of 17883 residential houses of 6 municipalities of the state with the main sewer line. Under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, under the Private Society Janbhagidari Yojana, such public welfare works are carried out in the towns of the state. Accordingly, under the Janbhagidari Yojana, the residential houses of the society which are not connected to the sewer line of the houses of the private society will get Rs. 7000 assistance per family.

The Urban Development Department had submitted various proposals to the Chief Minister to connect the sewer lines of the houses of the societies of Kapadvanj, Savli, Devgarh Baria, Chaklasi, Bareja and Chhotaudepur municipalities in the state with the main sewer line. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has given in-principle approval to these proposals realizing the resolution of maintaining cleanliness and environment in the towns. As a result, to connect the sewer line to main line of 255 houses of Kapadvanj municipality Rs 7.78 lakh, Rs 66.87 lakh for 2757 houses of Savli municipality, Rs 84 lakh for Devgadhbaria Municipality’s 1200 houses, Rs 1 crore 23 lakh for Chaklasi municipality’s 3574 houses, Rs 81.63 lakh for Bareja municipality’s 1510 houses, Rs 5.85 crore for Chhota Udepur municipality’s 8587 houses grant has been allotted and approved.
