Gandhinagar, Friday: With the commitment to provide adequate drinking water to the citizens in the towns and cities of the state Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel gives in- principle approval for various water supply works of Rs. 25.79 crore for Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation also Amreli and Maliya Miyana Municipality.
CM also approved the proposal presented by Gujarat Urban Development Mission of Rs. 14.51 crore for Bhavanagar Municipal Corporation under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana(SJMMSVY) . With the approval of this proposal, Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation will work with all DI pipelines for distribution system of water supply scheme.
As a result of which it will benefit population of 25 thousand people included newly in Adhewada village area of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also approved a proposal of Rs. 7.26 crore for the works of water supply scheme of Amreli Municipality and Rs. 4.02 crore of Maliya-Miyana Municipality submitted by Gujarat Urban Development Mission.
Considering the estimated population of these two municipal areas during the year 2052 , the works of this water supply scheme have been approved. At present Maliya-Miyana Municipality is supplied 2.23 MLD water from Narmada pipeline and 26 MLD water supply to Amreli.
The main components of the proposed scheme approved by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for these two municipalities include works on distribution system, compound wall, distribution network PVC, high tank, sump, pump house, rising main, electricity connection etc.
