Guj CM attends 2nd convocation of Gokul Global University in Siddhpur

    Hands over degree certificates to 970 students including 16 gold and 16 silver

    Accelerating research and innovation, Gujarat government has prepared a roadmap for holistic development in the New Education Policy- CM 

    Gandhinagar, Saturday:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel addressed the youths at the 2nd convocation ceremony of Gokul Global University at Siddhpur in Patan district. The 21st century has become the century of knowledge. India has emerged as one of the youth empowering nation in the world. It is the dream of Our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi that the youth of Gujarat can walk with youths of the world.

    Today more than 95 universities are functional in Gujarat due to the vision of our PM. Accelerating research and innovation, the Gujarat government has prepared a roadmap for holistic development in the New Education Policy. The Student Startup Policy has given youths new areas for career development.

    The youth of Gujarat have an invaluable opportunity to serve the nation and this is an opportunity to commit by turning challenges into opportunities for India under the leadership of PM.

    Mr. Patel stressed on ancient teaching methods giving examples of ancient universities like Nalanda, Takshashila and Sandipani ashram. Encouraging the youths to make careers in fields like unconventional energy sources, natural agriculture, green energy-clean energy he said that, at a time when the world is turning to natural farming, I believe it is also our social responsibility to motivate family, village or community for chemical free farming. He suggested to the President of the University Mr. Balwant Singh Rajput, to take Gokul Global University ahead in the world rankings.

    CM appealed to the students of Global University to set their sights for the service of the nation and state development as a means of serving the underprivileged, the exploited and the victims.

    Education Minister Mr. Jitu Vaghani said that, you all youths are starting your new life today with new roles and responsibilities. Today is an important day of your life. It is a matter of pride for the students that the degree certificates are been handed over in the presence of Chief Minister. It is the vision of our PM that the youths get quality education in all fields.

    Balwant Singh Rajput has fulfilled the dreams of his parents by establishing Gokul Global University. Education is an ongoing process and students should strive to shine in all areas. The Gujarat government has made arrangements so that the state universities can provide quality education.

    Industries Minister Mr. Jagdish Vishwakarma said that Balwant Singh Rajput has made this town a beacon of education by creating an education system from school to Ph.D. Students shall become skilled using the world class educational facilities available here. The state government is committed to make the youth self-reliant through facilities like i-Create and Student Startup Policy.

    Gokul Global University President Mr. Balwant Singh Rajput said that it is a great pleasure that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel, who has been contributing for the establishment and development of this University since he was MLA, is present in our premises on this golden occasion. During the tenure of the then Chief Minister and the present Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, Siddhpur had Dental College and Nursing College to make progress in the field of education. The university is embodying the Prime Minister’s idea of ​​imparting skill based education according to the new education policy by adopting modern education system.

    A total of 970 students were handed over degree certificates including 16 gold and 16 silver medals. Gokul Global University President Mr. Balwant Singh Rajput greeted the dignitaries including the Chief Minister with a memento. Vice Chancellor Dr. Vedavyas Dwivedi delivered the welcome address and administered oath to the students. Registrar Dr. Himmatsinh Rajput delivered vote of thanks.

    Chief Minister and other dignitaries visited Nakshatra Vatika in the university campus and planted trees.

    On this occasion, former Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Rajnibhai Patel, District Organization President Shri Dasharathji Thakor, District Panchayat President Ms Bhanumatiben Makwana, President of Siddhpur Municipality Ms Kripaben Acharya, District Development Officer, Superintendent of Police and Resident Additional Collector remained present.
