Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani attended the consecration
ceremony of the restoration of the dilapidated Amba Mata Mandir undertaken at the Rajkot
City Police Headquarters premises.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the temples have their contributions to arouse spiritual
feelings among the people. He said that people’s welfare works could be taken only by
combining devotion with capacity. He lauded the restoration of the temple. The police
headquarters also got modern military camp like looks. He complimented the people for the
city getting new look.
Mr. Rupani recalled his reminiscences associated with the Rajkot Police Headquarters. He
complimented the Rajkot Police for its efficiency in reducing crime rate, safety of the
people. He said 33 per cent quota for women in police force would increase their
participation in law-and-order situation.
He also distributed ‘Ma Vatsalya’ cards and police welfare assistive kits, laid the foundation
stone of police lines community hall, presented a traffic cashless machine, distribution
certificates to archers, horse-riders and cooks, felicitated artist Kirtidan Gadhavi, Health
Committee Chairman Jaiminbhai Thakar and Ban Labs Managing Director Mauleshbhai
Ukani, planted saplings in the headquarters and flagged off a mobile clinic sponsored by
Help age India and Modi School.The Chief Minister was presented a guard of honour.
The Rajkot City Police Commissioner Manoj presented a replica of the temple to the Chief
Minister.
