Gandhinagar, Sunday: On the occasion of Gujarat Pride Day celebrations, a police parade was held at Patan College Ground in the presence of Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel.
The parade featured a variety of events. On this occasion, various programs were organized by the police to maintain the enthusiasm of the citizens as well as to make the citizens aware of the various activities of the police.
The Police Department has also participated in the celebration of Gujarat Gaurav Divas. Various programs were organized under the leadership and guidance of District Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Patel.
The events included cultural programs including parades, rifle drills, motorcycle stunt shows, dog shows, horse shows, band displays.
Various platoon members of the state also enthusiastically participated in the parade. Gandhinagar’s Chetak Commando Platoon, Mandala Men’s Platoon SRP Group 3, Mudeti Men’s Platoon SRP Group 6, Mehsana District Police Women’s Platoon, Gandhinagar District Police Women’s Platoon, Gujarat Jail Division Men’s Platoon, Patan District Police Men’s Platoon, Jamnagar Marine Commando Platoon, Banaskantha District Police Male Platoon, Kutch East Police Male Platoon, Kutch Bhuj Police Male Platoon, Sabarkantha District Police Women Platoon, Banaskantha District Police Women Platoon, Gujarat Forest Department Women’s Platoon, Ahmedabad City Traffic Police Male Platoon, Patan District Home Guard Platoon, Patan District Gram Rakshak Platoon, Patan District SPC Platoon, Police SRP Band Platoon.
Various tables were also the center of attraction in this parade. A total of more than 710 employees participated in the parade.
On this occasion District Collector, District Development Officer as well as office bearers, officers and a large number of people were present.
