Gandhinagar,Monday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel on the occasion of 75th foundation day of L.D. College of Engineering said that Today the country is celebrating Amrit Mahotsav with context to completing 75 years of independence and today simultaneously L.D. College of Engineering is also celebrating 75 years of its establishment which is a matter of pride for Gujarat as well as for the country.
L.D. College of Engineering, Gujarat’s oldest college is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee and as a part of the celebration of their Foundation Day Ceremony ‘Samarpan’ was organized and as a guest of honour Chief Minster Shri Bhupendra Patel was invited where Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani and Minister Shri Kuber Dindor also attended the event.
Chief Minister congratulated the L.D. College family for completing 75 years of establishment and also appreciated the praiseworthy remark on the successful graph of the college. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel also recalled memories of his college days in front of the students.
On this occasion, Chief Minister said that Gujarat is strengthening its pillars in education field under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched a start-up scheme for the youth to make a bright career in the field of education. He had started this scheme with the noble intension to strengthen the youth and their aspirations should not fade due to the lack of money.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also called upon the society to be helpful by taking maximum advantage of the start-up scheme.
The Chief Minister said that when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is determined to create a self-reliant India, Let us move forward in building a self-reliant India through a self-reliant Gujarat and join hands in this journey of development.
On this occasion Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani said that while country is celebrating 75 years of independence L.D. College of Engineering has taken a giant leap by completing 75 years of its establishment which is a monumental achievement for Gujarat as well as for the country.
‘To create best from the resources available’ has been the success mantra of this college which is moving them along with every passing day. Education Minister further added that it is a matter of pride to study in L.D. Engineering College today. Education Minister said that you have the responsibility to fulfill by shaping up the society through knowledge acquired. He also called upon the students to prepare as many start-ups as possible from L.D. College of Engineering.
Moreover the Education Department under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has decided to revive the grant of Rs. 10 crore which was granted earlier for the purpose of advanced laboratory.
On this occasion, Shri Sanjay Lal said that Shri Kastur Lal and Shri Sara and family have put Ahmedabad on the world map by starting numerous educational institutions in Ahmedabad.
We all have a responsibility to make LD College one of the leading colleges in the world he added.
The ‘LDCE Connect’ app was also launched by the Chief Minister on this occasion.
In this ceremony Managing Director of Arvind Mills Shri Sanjay Lal, MLA Shri Vivek Patel, Principal of L.D. College Dr. Rajul Gajjar, Director of Technical Education Shri G.T. Pandya all the faculties, including Padma Shri S.S. Rathore, alumni and current students were also present.
