The role model of Gujarat’s development has become the growth engine of the country today

Gandhinagar, Wednesday: It is our commitment to follow the path of public service outlined by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He has made Gujarat a role model of development and so today Gujarat has become the growth engine of the country, said Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel on the occasion of dedicating the Sardar patel Underpass constructed at a cost of Rs. 147 crore in Mehsana.
The Chief Minister said that even after becoming the Prime Minister of the country, Gujarat has been continuously receiving guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. That is why Gujarat’s development journey has been continuous and uninterrupted for last twenty years. He added that it the commitment of the state government to make the cities of Gujarat livable and lovable, today another milestone has been added to the realization of this commitment with the construction of Mehsana underpass.
The National Highways of a total length of 5 thousand kilometers scattered in Gujarat have become highways for development. Gujarat has a network of roads of 1 lakh 15 thousand kilometers length in the state. Our goal is to reach all over Gujarat from one end to the other in 6 to 8 hours safely and quickly.
Out of the 3710 kilometers of Pragati Path, 9 corridors are to be made four-lane at a cost of 1600 crores, which will increase the pace of development. He added that 10,000 km of village roads have been facilitated under the Kisanpath scheme and 800 km of roads to taluka headquarters through the Vikaspath scheme.
Roads and Buildings Minister Shri Purneshbhai Modi said that our government is a culture-oriented government. Our motto is the development of last men of the state. Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made us proud through the world class statue of Sardar Patel. Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister has implemented several schemes to ensure that the remote villages of Gujarat are connected to the roads. The entire Gujarat is undergoing transformation. 656 works worth Rs 1117 crore have been done in last three years in Mehsana district which shows the pace of development.
Minister of Health Shri Rushikesh Patel said that, Gujarat has become synonymous with development. The people of Gujarat have earned the trust of the government since 1995. Many development works have been completed in the state. If we compare Gujarat with what it was in the year 1995 and where it stands today, we could see that Gujarat has given new direction to the development, also many different schemes have been implemented in the state to maintain health and safety of the people. He also mentioned the positive change in the lives of the citizens due to the various efforts of the state government, the public welfare oriented scheme for senior citizens is being implemented, through which the elderly people will get treatment at their doorsteps.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitin Patel said that, Under the leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi the government is working in a positive direction with the mantra of Sauna Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, and Sauna Prayas. The city of Mehsana today received the gift of Gujarat’s largest Underpass, which is the jewel of this city. He further added saying that many development works have been done in Mehsana district.
In working of “Sardar Patel Underpass”, the Underpass is 927 meters long at the junction above the existing four-lane road and the strengthening of the existing road in a length of about three kilometers and in order to make the existing service road more widen on both sides the work has been carried out.
Three boxes have been constructed in “Sardar Patel Underpass” to accommodate the city traffic and the bus station which is built at ST Depot, Modhera Circle and Malgodown.
Four underground sumps with an estimated storage capacity of 12 lakh litres have been kept for disposal of rain water inside “Sardar Patel Underpass”. Eight pumps have been installed to deliver it to the Khari river.
02 rain water pipe lines of 900 m diameter have been laid on both sides of the new service road “Sardar Patel Underpass” for drainage of city rain water.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister was welcomed and felicitated by the citizens of the district, various cooperatives, social organizations, leaders etc.
MP Smt Sharda Patel, District Panchayat President Shri Prahlad Parmar, Former Home Minister Shri Rajni Patel, Secretary Road and Building Department, District Collector Shri Udit Aggarwal, District Development Officer Dr. Om Prakash, District Superintendent of Police Achal Tyagi, District officials, office bearers, and citizens were present on this occasion.
