    CM directs the commissioners to complete the TP scheme promptly for Zero Pendency Target

    Final TP must be done within one year of approval of draft TP

    Out of 875 TP schemes in the state’s metros, more than 400 have been placed in the public domain for the information of the citizens- Urban Development Department to put the rest of the scheme in public domain by the end of this year

    Gandhinagar, Thursday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel today held a high level review meeting with the Commissioners of 8 Municipal Corporations of the state and gave clear guidelines for the target of zero pendency by completing the pending TP scheme in 8 metros of the state.

    The CM said that it is necessary that the final TP should be done within a period of 1 year after the approval of the draft TP. He said to develop the mentality of solving the problems or difficulties that arise from the draft TP to the final TP and to create a mechanism for it.

    Principal Secretary, Urban Development Shri Mukesh Kumar briefed about the details of TP scheme and other urban development plans of all 8 metros to the Chief Minister.

    Accordingly, out of a total of 875 TP schemes in these metros of the state more than 400 of them have been placed in the public domain for public information. The Urban Development Department is working towards putting the remaining 475 in the public domain by the end of this year.

    The state government has started an online development permission system, so far 1.50 lakh applications have been approved. He added that a pilot project of online BU permission has been conducted in Ahmedabad city from January 1-2023 and after evaluating its success, it will be implemented in other cities in the future, said Shri Kumar.

    Chief Minister urged to complete EWS, housing scheme, public facility works including infrastructure facilities in the town planning scheme within the time frame.

    Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri. Pankaj Joshi and senior officers were present in this review meeting.
