Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani today addressed to people of more than 900 villages, office bearers of Co-operative Societies, Banks and senior officers participated through BISAG in a mega people awareness campaign which was jointly organized by Revenue, Agriculture and Co-Operation Departments. He expressed hope that while India is changing with this revolution, people of Gujarat will also follow the era of digital banking and cashless payment.
CM Shri Rupani said that Gujarat will realize, Digital India Determination, the dream of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by cashless payment and digital banking. He clearly stated that since Gujarat has become growth engine of development; it will also guide the nation in terms of cashless Transactions.
Since the Prime Minister is committed to bring India towards cashless payment and digital banking, Gujarat has also joined hands with it. Only Gujarat has started people awareness campaign through satellite technology up to rural areas and has ignited the people agitation of cashless payment and digital banking, he added.
Whenaround 3 crore people of the state are using smart-phone, it is the need of the hour to extend digital payment coverage to facilitate people for digital banking by collective cooperation built by banks, co-operative societies, industries and farmers with the state government, he added. CM Shri Rupani appealed to banks to organize special campaigns to avoid misunderstanding regarding digital payment among people.
On this occasion Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Revenue Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Agriculture Minister Shri Chimanbhai Sapariya, Civil Supply Minister Shri Babubhai Bhokhiriya, Co-operation Minister (independent charge) Shri Ishwarsinh Patel and Chief Secretary Shri J. N. Singh and deputy director and senior official of Reserve Bank India were also remained present.
