Guj CM inspects Jagannathji’s Rath Yatra through CM Dashboard

    CM obtains in-depth details of arrangements setup for the route of 145th Jagannathji’s Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad which includes Police arrangements, CCTV camera-Drone-GPS system etc

    Gandhinagar, Friday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel carried out in-depth inspection of 145th Jagannathji’s Rath Yatra of Ahmedabad metropolis including other Rath Yatra’s in the cities of the state via Dashboard.

    The Chief Minister performed the Pahind ritual early in the morning from the Jagannath temple in Ahmedabad and flagged off Rath Yatra.

    After reaching his residence (Chief Minister’s residence) he watched the real-time monitoring of the Rath Yatra on the video wall of the dashboard.

    Chief Minister closely monitored Lord Jagannathji, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadraji and also Padayatra of  devotees also Police patrolling and functioning of the security arrangements on the route.

    In this year’s Rath Yatra, for the first time, the State Home Department has successfully experimented with drone technology to monitor the journey from a height of 65 meters. That too was inspected by the Chief Minister.

    He appreciated the security provided to Rath Yatra by helicopters and drones.

    The Chief Minister also observed the activities of the personnel of Gujarat Police who are stationed at sensitive places and points in this Rath Yatra of Ahmedabad, which for the first time have been equipped with about 2500 body worn  cameras.

    The Chief Minister also obtained details regarding The Ahmedabad City Police and Municipal Corporation batch that are monitoring the Rath Yatra by setting up cameras at more than 100 points.

    In this year’s Rath Yatra, akhada-bhajan mandli’s and real time monitoring of trucks and vehicles involved in the Rath Yatra will be provided through GPS was also seen on the video wall of the dashboard.

    46 fixed points including other moving, vehicle mounted cameras and high resolution CCTV,Chief Minister also obtained the details of the continuous monitoring system that has been set up with the help of cameras.

    Apart from Ahmedabad, the Chief Minister also watched live telecast and control room monitoring of the Rath Yatra held in Dakor, Mahemdavad through dashboard.

    Minister of State for Home Department Shri Harsh Sanghvi, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri K. Kailashnathan, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Shri Raj Kumar as well as Director General of Police Shri Ashish Bhatia joined Chief Minister in this review.

    The Chief Minister has made the communication during the Rath Yatra stronger and easier by connecting the Terrace Point, the Strategic Police Point and the personnel involved in the arrangement with the mobile WhatsApp. Chief Minister also obtained details of VHF as well as Walkie Talkie for 16 channels to communicate which has been brought into action for this year’s Rath Yatra.

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel expressed satisfaction over the details he got regarding the facilities provided to the devotees, saints taking part in the Rath Yatra which include food offerings, water, first aid etc.
