Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel performed ceremonial rites at the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Temple and also engaged in the Ram Naam Mantra Lekhan Yagya at Shree Ram Mandir within the Somnath Trust.

The initiation of the “Somnath thi Ayodhya, Ram Naam Mantra Lekhan Yagna” was led by PM Shri Narendra Modi, during his recent visit to Gujarat. He inscribed Ram Naam for the first time at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar following a meeting with the Somnath Trust.

Continuing this tradition of the Ram Naam Mantra Lekhan Yagya, CM Shri Bhupendra Patel participated in the Mantra Lekhan at the Raam temple during his visit to Somnath on Saturday, November 4th.

Somnath and the Ram Temple share unique similarities, one of which is their historical demolition and subsequent restoration, contributing to the strengthening of national unity. The Ram Naam inscribed at Somnath will be dedicated during the Praan Pratistha ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Just as Lord Raam constructed the Ram Setu on the sea with the name “Raam” inscribed on it, similarly, the Ram Naam Lekhan Setu, under the guidance of the visionary PM Shri Narendra Modi, is being built. Its purpose is to move beyond a challenging past towards the creation of a new India.

The inscription of over 1.51 lakh names of Raam Naam on the very first day of the yagna serves as evidence that the devotees have deeply embraced this ritual. Writing the name of Lord Raam in the presence of Devadhidev Mahadev and Sri Raam Prabhu at Somnath brings profound bliss to the soul.

The Chief Minister conveyed his joy as he participated in Raam Naam Lekhan Yagna and remarked that today presents a unique and blessed opportunity to contribute to the Somnath Thi Ayodhya, Raam Naam Lekhan Yagna.

The CM congratulated the Somnath Trust for establishing the Ram Naam Lekhan Setu of Akhand Bharat, uniting devotees from every corner through the Ram Naam Mantra Lekhan Yagna.

Trustee Shri J D Parmar and Secretary Shri Yogendra Desai extended a warm welcome to the Chief Minister during the event.
