Gandhinagar, Friday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel while inaugurating the 11th Agri Asia Exhibition in Gandhinagar clearly stated that, Gujarat has been a leader when it comes to giving priority to agriculture and in realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of crop growth and farmer prosperity through the use of timely advanced technology for agricultural purpose.
In this context the Chief Minister said that, To strengthen the agricultural economy by doubling the income of the farmers, the farmer welfare schemes given to the nation by the Prime Minister are being implemented smoothly in Gujarat.
Chief Minister said, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has laid a strong foundation for the holistic development of agriculture, villages and rural people in Gujarat. He further added saying that The politics of development which is at its roots given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and with the mantra of welfare of all,Today Gujarat has become a role model in the country in all fields including agriculture, industry, export, financial management, COVID management etc.
Shri Bhupendra Patel said that, Along with the use of technology in agriculture, the government has also adopted the strategy of natural farming to develop healthful agriculture. He said that besides promoting natural farming, the state government is giving priority to agriculture for sustainable development of agriculture sector by using drone technology.
Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Gujarat has maintained the tradition of agricultural revolution, extensive success of industrial investments from the Vibrant Summit, leadership in receiving FDI and leadership in NITI Aayog’s Good Governance and Financial Management Index.
Chief Minister further said that such exhibitions will be helpful in providing the farmers of the state with global trend of cropping systems and can attain agricultural knowledge at their doorsteps. He also visited various pavilions and stalls of the exhibition including Germany Pavilion, Natural Agriculture Pavilion-Drone Pavilion.
Union Minister of Fisheries Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department Shri Parshottam Rupala while addressing at the inauguration of ‘Agri Asia’ said that Since years agriculture and animal husbandry in India have been complementary with each other,This three-day Agri Asia and the 9th Animal Husbandry-Dairy Technology Exhibition will provide further impetus to it.
Even in the midst of global recession during pandemic India has become the fifth largest economy in the world under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The role of Gujarat has also been important in strengthening the Indian economy.
As a result of the animal husbandry policies of the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel’s government and courtest of the hardwork put in by the cattle-breeders the animal husbandry department of Gujarat are supplying milk worth Rs 150 crore daily which is a huge achievement in the milk cooperative sector. Shri Rupala added.
Minister Shri Rupala said, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat gave a new direction to the country in the field of animal husbandry and agricultural research through the establishment of the Kamdhenu University which is connected with animal husbandry in Gujarat and the Agricultural Festival, also with the joint efforts of the Central and Gujarat Government, the farmers of the state are given loans at zero percent.
Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, farmers all over India have started farming using drone technology, The government of Gujarat has given the country a new hope by giving subsidy to the farmers for spraying of medicines in farming activities by using drones.
The Union Minister requested the farmer present to visit various stalls related to agriculture and animal husbandry and also to participate in various seminars. He congratulated the officials and organizers including the Chief Minister for organizing this exhibition in a well-planned manner.
On this occasion GPDFA Chairman Dr. Bharat Patel delivered welcome speech and also gave detailed outline of this three-day 11th Agri Asia and 9th Animal Husbandry-Dairy Technology Exhibition, which commenced from September 9.
The exhibition includes pavilions based on the theme of natural agriculture under the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation along with stalls of various companies based on technology related to agriculture and animal husbandry including Amul Organic Fertilizers, IFFCO, GGRC.
On this occasion GCMMF Chairman Shri Shamal Patel, Former Minister and Banas Dairy Chairman Shri Shankar Chaudhary, Maharashtra MP Dr. Anil, Partner country of exhibition Germany’s Mr. Stephen, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation, Gujarat, Shri Mukesh Puri, officials, industrialists associated with agro-cattle-breeders, farmers and students were present.
