Guj CM releases a book on the life of Prahladji Seth at Bahucharaji

The pride of our Gujarat will be enhanced by highlighting the works of Prahladji Seth who fought for the freedom of the nation: CM    

Gandhinagar, Monday: Very few people are aware that Seth Prahladji, a multi-talented man, survived on the land of Bahucharaji, one of the three Shakti Peethas of Gujarat. Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel today released a book on biography of Prahladji Seth held at Bahucharaji today.

Congratulating the entire family and all those who worked hard for the publication of this book, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that you have done a great service through this book. Prahladji Seth is the light of humanity, trustworthiness, fearlessness, simplicity, honesty and hard work. I am confident that his personality and accomplishments will reach the masses through this book. Prahladji Seth’s lumber has been renovated and named ‘Seth Prahlad Bazar’. This new market will perpetuate the memories of Prahladji Seth.

In the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi we are celebrating 75th year of Independence, we must remember the sacrifices and penances of famous anonymous revolutionaries like Prahlad Seth and shall take inspiration from him. This book on the life of Prahladji Seth will be an inspiration for generations to come. He donated his 200 Bigha land in Bhudan and was instrumental in making this movement a success in North Gujarat.

He also gave necessary assistance to Sardar Patel for the geographical unification of the country, as a representative of the people, he carried out historic work in various fields such as public life, social reform, strong fight against anti-social elements, spread of education, emancipation of dalits, upliftment of villages.

Paying homage to Prahladji Seth on his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that highlighting the work of Prahladji Seth, who fought for the freedom of the country, would enhance the pride of our Gujarat. Twice during the freedom struggle he was imprisoned in Sabarmati and Yerawada. When his father passed away, his late father was cremated by his cousin but he did not accept to be released on bail after writing a letter of apology. Prahladji Seth took refuge in many other freedom fighters and became a shield against the British. Prahladji Sethe described the scars on his back as a gold medal given by the British.

The Chief Minister said that Prahladji Sethe had successfully experimented natural farming in his land at that time and encouraged for natural farming. Grain-vegetables ripened by spraying of chemical fertilizers and chemical-drugs are detrimental to both the health of the soil and human body. People get heart disease, diabetes and cancer at an early age. Natural farming is the only solution for this. He understood this at that time and showed great resourcefulness.

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi paid tribute to late Prahladbhai Patel on his 115th birth anniversary through a video message and said Prahladbhai is an excellent example of the freedom struggle. The role played by Prahladbhai in the merger of the three kingdoms of this region under the guidance of Sardar Saheb after independence is very important.

Former Home Minister Rajnibhai Patel said that during the time of the freedom struggle, some were fighting for the freedom of the nation by moving on the path of non-violence and some on the path of violence. During that time Prahladbhai Sethe was involved in the freedom struggle. He has been instrumental in the construction and development of a united India (Akhand Bharat).

Padma Shri Maljibhai Desai of Zelia Gandhi Ashram said, “I am fortunate to have worked with Seth for ten years. He has been instrumental in establishing Gandhi Ashram in Zelia. He has done public service works as well as social reformers in public life. He has also made significant contributions to the integration of several small kingdoms from Radhanpur to Junagadh into a united India.

Mehsana MP Shri Shardaben Patel congratulated the family members for organizing this program during the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The new generation will be made aware of the reality of the freedom struggle through a book written by his family on the biography of Prahladbhai Seth.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel said that Prahladbhai Seth has made significant contribution in the struggle for independence of the country as well as in social reform, education and economic development in Bahucharaji Panth. The Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendrabhai Modi is pushing forward the development work of Seth of Bahucharaji Panth today. Also, in the near future, a MoU for capital investment of Rs. 10 thousand crore in Bahucharaji Panth has been signed by the Prime Minister.

The author of Prahladbhai Seth’s biography book Shri Ramesh Tanna gave a brief introduction of biography and said that this book has been divided into 11 chapters. This book is designed in a way youths like to read.

CM earlier attending the program visited the Bahuchar Mataji temple on the auspicious occasion of Chaitri Navratri and performed pooja.

Finance Minister Shri Kanubhai Desai along with Hargovinddas Patel’s family members and invited dignitaries were present on the occasion.
