Gandhinagar, Thursday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel while launching Ahmedabad District Panchayat Education Committee’s The “Divyang Samipe Scheme” said that this initiative will be a blessing in disguise for the disabled.
Chief Minister said that he was happy to be a part of such a splendid occasion. With the politics of development and work culture started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from Gujarat, and because of that today Gujarat is at the forefront with prospect to development.
The Chief Minister further added that, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started this service of providing quality education and dignified life for the Divyang’s.
He changed his attitude towards the disabled by giving them a respectful identity like the disabled.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi celebrated his birthday in Navsari and set a world record by donating assistance of Rs 11 thousand crore for Divyang’s. Regarding Vande Gujarat Chief Minister said that In the last 20 years equipment assistance of Rs. 100 crore and Rs. 190 crore scholarship assistance was given to 8796 Divyang’s. Also 2463 children having deafness since birth, Cochlear implant surgery was performed free of cost at a cost of Rs. 87 crore informed Chief Minister.
A helpline has been set up by the state government for Divyang’s to get quick solutions to their problems and perplexing questions through video call in sign language.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Panchayats Shri Brijesh Merja termed Divyang Samipe Scheme a divine work and congratulated the entire district administration. As Digital Week is being celebrated across the state, the distribution of various softwares under the Divyang Samipe initiative launched by the Ahmedabad District Panchayat will make the Divyang students self-reliant, he added.
Under this scheme, Ahmedabad District Panchayat and Education Committee provided various device assistance and useful items to the children with 21 types of Divyangta. Ahmedabad District Panchayat Education Committee has sanctioned Rs. 59.80 lakh for this scheme.
The main objective of the “Divyang Samipe” scheme is to make Divyang children equal to normal children and to enhance their educational and mental abilities through expert assessment with the help of various devices and different software.
Various social service organizations have also joined the initiative Divyang Samipe of Ahmedabad District Panchayat, In which BYJU’S tablets with 506 latest content have been given to children by the Yuva Unstoppable organization. About 157 ear pulse devices have been provided by V Hear.
Ahmedabad District Panchayat Education Committee and various social service organizations have donated a total of Rs. 4.43 crore for the Divyang children to make this project a success.
Former Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, MLA Shri Babu Patel, Ahmedabad District Collector Shri Sandeep Sangle, District Development Officer Shri Anil Dhamelia, Ahmedabad District Panchayat Vice President Ramesh Makwana along with a large number of District Panchayat office bearers, academic and social leaders were present as special guests in this program also Divyang students and their parents were also present.
