Guj CM Vijay Rupani inaugurated the 7 th Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) at the Ganpat University.

    Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated the 7 th Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) at the Ganpat University campus at Kherwa.

    Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is after several years that India is framing its New Education Policy (NEP) to revive ancient tradition to instill nationalism among youth. He hailed the “Shaikshik Mahasangh’s initiative to exchange ideas and hold collective discussion from this land of Gujarat.

    Mr. Rupani said that Gujarat has always taken the lead on national issues, be it struggle for ‘Swaraj’ for ‘Self-Rule’ by Gandhi-Sardar, or ‘Surajya’ for ‘Good Governance’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Navnirman Agitation against corruption was also launched from Gujarat.

    He said that education and the government are interlinked. While teaching and learning have been our pursuit and tradition, Shaikshik Mahasangh’s efforts to create ‘Right Job at Right Time’ for the future generations is laudable.

    Mr. Rupani said that country is changing and it is now increasingly being recognized in the world as the country’s leadership is increasing people’s capabilities to face future challenges. Our recognition and cultural traditions from the primary to higher education suit the nation’s need for nation building.

    ABRSM President J.P. Singhal said it is the country’s biggest organization of its kind and it believed that teachers need not be subject specific alone but also teachers of the society. Its General Secretary Shivand Sindankera said there are 10-lakh members. Prof Aniruddh Deshpande said the Shaikshik Mahasangh has been established to ensure teachers build the future of the children.

    Ganpat University President Ganpat Patel welcomed the teachers from all over the country attending the three-day Mahasangh. Established in 1988, ABRSM holds its national conference every third year.

    Dr. Kalpana Pandey’s ‘Nari Bharatiya Drishti Ane Bhavishya’ and ‘Bharatiya Sangeet-ma Shiksha Ane Swasthya’ and Bhagwati Prasad’s “Paryavaran Sankat Jeevsrishti Ane Janjeevan’ were released on the occasion.

    Those present on the occasion included Minister Vasanbhai Ahir, MPs Shardaben Patel and Jugalji Lokhandwala and MLA Ashaben Patel, Vice-Chancellors and Invitees.
