Guj CM Shri Vijaybhai Rupani dedicated state of the art, Office of the Superintendent of Police, Morbi.

    Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated the new office of the Morbi District Superintendent of Police built at a cost of Rs.12.71-crore, and laid the foundation stone of the Morbi District Mahila Milk Producers Union (Mayur) Dairy Plant to be built at a cost of Rs.7.50-crore.

    Speaking on the occasion, he congratulated the women members of the dairy for their empowerment. The area has adequate supply of water and fodder for the growth of dairy. He listed the government’s other schemes for women like reservation of 50 per cent seats in local self-government and 33 per cent posts for women in the police force.

    He said the new SP office building would help in maintaining law and order in the district. He said the state government has allocated Rs.6,000-crore for the safety and security of the people, including Rs.329-crore on CCTV cameras at centres of pilgrimage and elsewhere.

    Mr. Rupani expressed relief at the weakening of the cyclone Maha but reiterated the state government’s preparedness to avoid loss of live or property every time faced cyclone or any natural disaster. He said that monsoon was bountiful to Gujarat heralding the filling up of all the 115 dams with Narmada waters under the SAUNI project, bringing an end to water supply through tankers, but for the recent unseasonal rain. The anxiety of the farmers is as much concern of the government. The survey of the loss to crops is on and the government will provide adequate
    compensation.

    Member of Parliament Mohanbhai Kundaria said the Mayur Dairy holds a pride of place as it is dedicated to women for the last three years. The new plant and it’s corporate office will be built on four acres of land at concessional rate with 50 per cent subsidy by the Central and State governments.
