Guj CM Shri Vijaybhai Rupani flagged-off Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express

    Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani flagged off the second private train- the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express. During the event, Chief Minister said, “Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi initiated a 360-degree transformation of Railways.

    The Prime Minister is determined to take the Indian Railways forward on the Global Transport Map. Ever since Mr.Modi became Prime Minister, India has been marching on the path of development across all spheres. The Prime Minister has linked the development of railways with the development of India. It is a matter of great pride that Gujarat is the first state in Western India to get Tejas Express.”

    The commencement of the Tejas express will provide more options to travelers from cities like Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat and Vapi. Gujarat has witnessed continuous expansion in terms of rail connectivity and infrastructure since 2014. As many as 118 trains have been started since 2014.

    Railway Board Chairman Mr. V.K. Yadav, Ahmedabad Mayor Smt. Bijalben Patel, MPs, MLAs and railway officials marked their presence. The Ahmedabad- Mumbai Tejas Express will run 6 days a week except Thursday. It
    is equipped with an LED screen on all the 56 seats of the Executive Coach. Auto sensor dustbin, CCTV, fire safety facilities have also been provided. Onboard shopping will also be made available. The Tejas Express train will depart from Ahmedabad at 6.40 am and reach Mumbai Central at 1.55 pm and depart from Mumbai Central at 3.40 pm to reach Ahmedabad at 9.55 pm with a top speed of 160km/hour.
